Middle and Senior Students Integrated Inquiry units are designed to engage students within a learning environment that feeds their natural desire to wonder and seek answers.
Inquiry units are based on our ‘throughlines’ or ‘Big Ideas’ that link student learning to the real world as well as concepts, skills and processes in the Victorian Curriculum. Students are supported to develop informed questions for investigation, pursue their passions and source answers to their questions through explicit teaching of inquiry processes and skills. Where relevant, students will engage in shared experiences outside of the school, in the wider community to deepen their understandings of concepts and big ideas. Students are given opportunities to apply their learning to different contexts and engage in a broader transfer of newly acquired knowledge and skills in the classroom and beyond.
